title: Sign in
description: TriCanon uses your email address as the whole login — no password, no one-time code.
---

The app lives at [tricanon.app/app](https://www.tricanon.app/app). Everything behind the sign-in wall needs an account: saved sessions, usage tracking, and Research Chat all belong to an email address.

1. **Open the app**

    Go to [tricanon.app/app](https://www.tricanon.app/app) and press **Sign in** in the header.

2. **Enter your email address**

    Type the address you were invited with. There is no password and no one-time code — the email address is the credential.

3. **Accept the Terms of Service**

    The first sign-in shows the Terms of Service. You have to accept them once per account before the app opens.

4. **Search**

    You land on the search screen. See [Your first search](/getting-started/your-first-search).

## When it refuses your address

If the address is not on the invite list, the sign-in form says it is not authorized and points you at the waitlist. That is the beta gate, not a mistake in your typing: addresses are added by the TriCanon team, and nothing you do in the form will get around it.

:::tip
Already invited but still refused? Check for a typo in the domain, then check whether the invite went to a different address (a work address rather than a personal one, for example).

## What is saved to your account

Once you are signed in, every analysis you generate is written to your account as a research session — the query, the verses, the analysis text, and the sources. That happens automatically; there is no save button. [Sessions](/using/sessions) explains what is stored and how to get back to it.
